My latest car is a 2001 Saab 9-3 Aero that I bought to replace my beloved Jeep Cherokee. I immediately embarked on some upgrade projects to modernise and improve the Saab.
After the success of the PX 125 conversion, I embarked on an experimental project to combine a 2011 Vespa LX 50 with a 2017 NIU N1S. Click above to read more.
The Vespa PX series was built for 40 years and has the classic Vespa-look that most people automatically think of when the Vespa name is mentioned. Click above to read about my PX 125 electric vehicle conversion.
This section has videos about modifications to the NIU N-series electric scooter. Want to learn how to swap out the body panels or replace the BMS in an NIU battery? Click above to read more.
Buying a 25-year-old car from a slightly shady used car dealer is always a bit of an adventure, and usually results in some surprises when you start digging beneath the surface. Click above to read about my XJ.
Before taking on scooter projects, I spent many nights and weekends fixing up old bicycles. I have documented a few of them, including two e-bike conversions. Click above to read more.
Random Tasks has been around in one shape or form since the late '90s. As a teenager, I had a side "business" involving installing car stereos for friends and friends of friends. When I got to university, I expanded from stereos to computer repair and carpentry, and basically odd jobs in general. Random Tasks was thus born out of the random things that I was asked to do. The intention of this site is to document past and future projects, and to hopefully serve as a resource for anyone undertaking similar projects. The internet has helped me with my projects, so hopefully I can return the favour. Some of my projects have been documented on YouTube as well, so check out my channel and don't forget to subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@randomtasks
